A dj, producer, and party promoter from Minneapolis, Jesse's involvement with techno stretches back to the mid 1990's. Getting his start in the Minneapolis underground, Jesse was heavily influenced by the sounds emanating from Chicago and Detroit and the dark warehouses with enormous sound systems where this music was being experienced. Growing up in such close proximity to these defining cities and having the opportunity to experience midwest techno's classic era first hand has had a life changing impact. An early experience at the now legendary drop bass event "Even Further" would come to cement techno as a lifelong passion and pursuit and would come to play a crucial role in his own unique dancefloor vision.

As a founding member of Black, the Midwest's longest running and most consistent weekly house and techno event at the legendary First Avenue nightclub, Jesse has held down a residency for the last 4+ years using a forward thinking booking strategy of quality over hype. The aim is to bring to artists to Minneapolis who are on the cutting edge of contemporary house and techno. Held in a small black room with a large, pulsing, sound system, the Particle People nights at Black are designed to fuse the warehouse vibe of days past while pushing the sounds and artists that are shaping it's future. Marcell Dettmann, Ben Klock, Peter Van Hoesen, Kevin Gorman, Silent Servant, and Levon Vincent are a few of the featured guests that have visited over the
years.

As a dj and producer, Jesse creates a unique blend of uncompromising house and techno, always that maintaining a sense of deepness. Drawing on 17 years of experience, Jesse's greatest strength behind the decks is his ability to create a vibe. Whether it's setting the pace with an early warmup set or a late night after hours techno beatdown, his sets are thick with bass, stripped back and layered...expertly blurring the lines between house and techno.

2012 will see Jesse make his first production release with a 12" on Jonas Kopp's Traut Muzik imprint featuring remixes from Kevin Gorman and Jonas Kopp himself. Deep, intense, stripped down, no nonsense techno. 2012 is shaping up to be a busy year...stay tuned!
