DJing for almost twenty years, Joe Morris is a true professional when it comes to handling a pair of decks and his exceptional and versatile talents have led him to play clubs and festivals all over Europe. His love for music and talent as a DJ soon turned his attention towards music production. Since starting to produce, he’s released on labels such as Baker Street, 3AM Recordings, Midnight Social and NANG, plus an exclusive track of his was used on the ‘We Love…’ Artist Profile CD in the summer of 2011. His style favours a contemporary deep house sound while dipping into the past for inspirations, most notably Chicago house . Support for his productions has come from the likes of Slam, Huxley, Dirt Crew, Mat Playford, Moodymanc, Rob Mello and Gavin Herlihy. Alongside his DJing and producing, Joe is known as one of the most respected promoters at the heart of the Leeds music scene. Running his Polaroid club night since 2004, Joe has been responsible for booking acts such as Erol Alkan, Todd Terje and Simian Mobile Disco long before they became established. As a DJ and producer, Joe is moving for strength to strength and I’m sure we will be hearing a lot more of him in the future.
