Biography of Joey Daniel

Joey started listening and making music at a young age. Drums and keys were a first passion, growing older a love for electronic music took over. On the age of fifteen he heard Michel de Heys record ‘Future’ from the famous Nighttown party’s and Joey was hooked. By then it was pretty clear to him that a new goal in his life had to be fulfilled. Make the people dance! He’s doing so for over a few years now, spinning a fresh mix of house, minimal and techno.

Joey’s career took off in ‘Off Corso’ where Joey first started as resident of ‘Electro Rockers’ and later added the Off Corso / Electronation ‘GlamTech’ night to his list of residents. After a while, being more wise and focused Joey was asked to become one of ‘Now and Wow’ residents and programmer. At this point things started to roll rand Joey conquers his spot in the Dutch dance scene. Further organizations in the Netherlands recognize Joey as a young and upcoming talent. Today Joey is together with friend and colleague Philip Young organizer of Schlüss at Catwalk, a Minimal Techno night with guest like P.Toile, Mark August, Phil Kieran, and Jeng Do.
In he started a new night called ‘Selektor’. He played with Gregor Tresher, Johnny D, Chaim and Andomat 3000 are just a few names of the list of djs who will stand behind the desks and put Selektor on the map of one of Holland’s finest party’s in Rotterdam. In 2009 Joey will continue the Selektor night with an International line-up.

He also has another techno clubnight, 300mph which is held every 1st Friday of the month. 300mph found the perfect homebase in Rotterdam at the Maassilo on the 10th Floor at the Docks in Rotterdam: called Factory 010 with its 900 pax capacity and stunning view.
In close harmony Joey Daniel (resident and booker of 300mph) and Sappig (promoter of 300mph) organize this techno party at this contrete, industrial building dated from early 1900 which used to be a grainsilo. Since 2004 its used for events.
Music and architecture turned out to be one hell of a combination.
Joey Daniel invited great djs at his party; Guido Schneider, Domink Eulberg, Extrawelt (live), Polder (live), Bart Skils, Warren Fellow, Onur Ozer, Gabriel Ananda (live), Guy Gerber (live), Rejected and Joey Daniel himself.
2009 will have more to come…
