John Selekta started DJing when he was 10 years old scratching Hip Hop. 4 years later he was snapped up for his first residency at an under 18s techno night in the now defunct Ritzys Nightclub. From here illegal parties and house parties beckoned, seeing major exposure on the South Coast. From this run of gigs came bookings in London at house parties and venues across the capital, and residencies. Having had a part in the promotion of many gigs by this point a new night was hatched in Portsmouth, Dusted, which saw John alongside some big name guests. Whilst still promoting, John moved to Manchester and started making and producing music and learning Pro Tools, and now lives in the North West DJing and Producing, and mastering tracks on his co-owned label Dusted Breaks. John's versatile style means he spins everything from house to tech to breaks in a club set but will also spin old skool hip hop and do turntablism stints should the situation arise.
