Josh is a seasoned DJ of more than 15 years and cofounder of Backseat Buzz which hosts Jet-Lag, a free biweekly outdoor event in Brooklyn during the warmer months. His DJ sensibilities were shaped by organizing small- and large-scale events since '95 including the infamous Triple X Music raves in upstate New York in the 90's. He believes in diverse sets and can move the dance floor at 4am or bend ears and minds at after hours. Josh has been busy in the studio working on new projects so expect original music in his DJ sets and watch for news about forthcoming releases.

At 17, while cloistered away at a small boarding school in Bath, Maine, Josh discovered deep-house while his peers were listening to Phish. He caught the EDM bug and found himself launching a radio show devoted to it the following year at Skidmore College. Luckily Skidmore had a student organization called Pure Energy which was funded by the college charter to throw raves on campus. After attending most of their events his first year Josh joined Pure Energy as a contributing organizer the following fall and cut his teeth as a budding event promoter.

In 1997 Josh relocated to Ithaca, NY and shortly thereafter he cofounded Triple X Music. Over three years the Triple X Music events grew from 100 person basement after-hours parties on Cornell campus into 2,000 person raves in a historic 20,000 square foot Masonic Temple spanning three floors of separate music. Triple X Music events were known for their diversity and these were formative years for Josh's growing vocabulary as a DJ. His record collection gained depth and expanded cross-genre despite his original focus on drum 'n' bass. By 2000 he held three residencies across upstate New York and played at countless other one-off events up and down the east coast.

Josh moved to Brooklyn in 2001 and launched a weekly party that ran for three years. After a couple years off he would regroup and cofound Backseat Buzz which organizes Jet-Lag on summer Saturday afternoons where you can still find him sharing the decks with exceptional guest performers who play music into the sunset.
