Growing up in Luján, a small city 70km away from Buenos Aires, Julio started his carreer at the young age of 16. Digital Age borned, focused himself in the making of intuitive music, using software, sampling, and recording his favourite tracks. Early works includes bootlegs on comercial tracks, such as faithless, daft punk, & the chemical brothers, also own productions, mainly influenced by the underground techno scene at that moment.
In 2001 he moves to Buenos Aires to start his Industrial Design studies and keep developing his love for music. There he found a completely different scene, mainly influenced by progressive music, from Alternative Rock to Electronic. As his musical capabilities kept improving, he started making music that would be soon found suitable for wellknown local djs, such as Martin Garcia, Manuel Sofia aka. MOS & Hernan Cattaneo. This led him to a better understanding of the electronic scene in buenos aires, and soon he started producing Opendecks Underground Parties. In such Parties he could play along great djs & producers, such as Dartek, MOS, Guy J, Soundexile & Victoria R to name a few. Due to great feedback towards Opendecks, the brand soon turned into a digital label called Opendecks Records, from where he could show his taste for music, including artist from all over the world and making great release parties. http://www.opendecksrecords.com
As a producer he signed music on labels such as 19box Recordings Tokyo, Offside Recordings, Acute Recordings, Augenring Records, Freitag, Aquasound, Noizen, USB Digital, Bit Records Mexico, eletrodomesticos, Vise Versa Music, and naturally Opendecks Records. He had also been guest on several radio shows, on Frisky Radio, Proton, Ksk Radio, and had his own show at Showtimeradio. All of his music has received great support, from djs such as John Digweed & Hernan Cattaneo by charting or playing his music. Lately his new track "Darkened Underpass" has been included in Nick Warren´s Balance 018 Compilation Album, to be released on April 28th 2011. This track has been described by the press as "..After a
top notch kick-off in the form of Nick’s own mix of Tripswitch’s Collider, tunes such as the acid-fueled
prog rocker Darkened Underpass (by Julio Largente), and Lank’s roaring Ain’t No Problem further
take us into the depths of brilliantly constructed grooves." It promises to be a great album.
Nowadays, Julio’s music combines many elements. From his early influences from techno to progressive house music, including progression on track development, melodic patterns & techno arrangement. He personally claims for an eclectic style, playing most human honest melodic music, also combining dancefloor 4 to the floor techno.
He proposes a great ride mixing different styles, with harmonical progression from the warm up to peaktime climax.
