Biography of Kenshi | | | Real name / | Attila Sándor |
Ever since he was a child, music has always been something
that is really close to him. It all started at the school parties
where we played the hits from cassette tapes. : )
Later, he started listening to mixes of famous DJs.
"The first such mix I listened to was Carl Cox's "If I Am Not Mistaken."
As time passes, his favourite style seems to change constantly.
But he could never stick to any style for too long,
as he was constantly looking for
something that differs from average. He came across a James Zabiela
mix in 2004, and it was more than a simple inspiration.
In those early times he stayed with
all styles of house music, spurred by techno and the impression that
underground breaks left him with.
He bought cd players and a mixer shortly afterward, and soon
afterwards, he became a resident DJ in a local club called Madison.
After the club closed, he got the opportunity to play every second
week in another nearby club. Thanks to Stamp, with whom he was
acquainted at a DJ competition, he had the chance to play at numerous
other places.
Kenshi started his own night called Essential Progress and began to
invite friends and other guests from the hungarian dance scene.
A couple of times he was lucky enough to play at
Hungary 's leading international radio Justmusic.FM
in the show called, "Happy Monday."
After that he became a recurrent guest of other shows in the radio.
Because of his jonesing for electronica and breakbeat, he was invited
for a few times to local clubs' underground nights too.
After a few years of DJing, he began playing in all local clubs and over...
By the great sucesses of 2008 when he made an own party called
Summer Open Air, which was the biggest open-air party of the year
nearby, he promptly returned to his old residency in November with
full-house gig.
Till now he already played in every clubs in his county and in a lot of
other cities. He played warm up or played after a lot of hungarian top djs. From 2008 he played for thousands of people in the biggest open air parties with the hungarian dj elite.
Nowadays he mainly plays house and tech house with a little techno but
always in the name of "being different and unique"
In 2009 he joined to 4 other house djs
to make an own radio show called " Play & Tonic".
In the end of every month they invited leading international house djs to show as guests like Francesco Del Garda, Mihai Popoviciu.
In 2010 march Kenshi was placed 19th from almost 4000 runners
in the worldwide contest orgaized by Pioneer- Letsmix- DjMAg- Beatport .
Kenshi's next steps will be geared towards producing tunes after
a lot of own edits, as well as mash-ups. |
