Biography of KillEmilio
|Real name / ||Emile Carstens|
As a lover of almost everything the world of music has to offer, KillEmilio got into house music a bit later than most other DJ's. Having grown up with mostly Rock and Hip Hop he only really fell in love when he moved to London in 2004.
At first it was the bassy Electro tracks that caught his attention but as time passed he became intrigued by more Deep and Techy sounds.
It was in late 2006 that he first got on the decks to try it out for himself and in August 2008 a friend approached him to play at her upcoming event.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength, playing at some truely amazing events across London.
His first big event was when he joined the boys from UpTown BoogieDown when they hosted a room at the Mulletover 5th Birthday party at Ewer street Carpark. Sharing the stage with Jafar, Maxime Cescau and DJ Deep.
Since then he has played at The Egg, East Village, Brickhouse and Jaded @ Cable and has been a regular fixture at the much loved FINALE parties. The biggest event he has been involved with to date, has to be giving support to Eric Prydz, Popof and Gui Boratto at the Pryda carpark party in 2010.
Sofar 2011 has been a lot of fun indeed. Alongside his partner Kev Smith, he has started a fresh new night in the London club scene called Dope Disco. Guests at Dope Disco up to now include Rossko, Poussez, Tim Underbelly and the boys from Organic Arts Movement, Tommi and Nic Liu.
He has also been ticking off all the best venues around London as he goes along, with Ministry of Sound just one of many.
And just wait to hear some of the production work that has been going on behind closed doors...
New Mix to come shortly.
