King Britt supplies FACT with a mix from his alter ego, Fhloston Paradigm. He takes a heavy sci-fi slant with lots of film samples and soundtracks and uses music from The Chemical Brothers, Galaxy 2 Galaxy, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Eurhythmics, Paul McCartney and of course his Fhloston Paradigm music on Hyperdub.
Tonight’s the night, folks! Legendary DJ/producer King Britt touches down in the PGH at none other than AVA lounge. Tickets are only $10 a pop and it’s hump day, so it would be a shame for you to miss this! The Philly-based legend has a lot of history, so let’s dive into some of it for those of you who are unacquainted. Time to get schooled.
Im very excited to have this release come out on one of my all time favorite labels, Planet E. Owned by my homie Carl Craig, it has always been at the forefront of real techno music. Honored.

Yesterday’s Machine combines an experimental create-in-the-moment vibe with inspirational lyrics and vocal sonics that range from Sade tones to Flora Purim’s ethereal layers. The result is an intelligent electronic soul rooted in the duo’s collective years of experience and musical expanse. From the surreal beginning of “Lotus” to the brain-melting melodies of “Hearts of Fire” and “Tory” the listener is quickly transported off-planet. Tracks like “Grace” and “The Machines are the Stars” propel the journey at full-speed until the album climaxes with “All Seasons are Good” before denouement into the wondrous “Take It Out” closer.
On Tuesday, October 25, my new ep under the moniker Fhloston Paradigm, will be out on the Saturn Never Sleeps label, exclusively for Beatport. Listen Here
