Our tenth podcast returns to the land of Ireland, though this time via way of Italy whilst also detouring through Chicago, Detroit, the 80s and wherever else our man Lerosa has picked up something that contributes to his unique palette of sound.
Lerosa, real name Leopoldo Rosa, has been presenting his noticeably distinct pads and tones on lauded labels such as Uzuri, A Touch of Class, Millions of Moments and Ostgut Ton since 2007. And with his second long player surfacing in 2011 featuring vocals from Detroit duo The Oliverwho Factory, an even further rounded illustration of the producer had emerged. His relationship with the turntables however, stretches back far longer, beginning when his mind was first opened to the world of hip hop and ending with breath one might suspect; when Leo steps to it you can be sure you're in for an enjoyable and varied evening.
Lerosa answered an array of questions we put to him ahead of his debut appearance on our shores, which only served to heighten our growing anticipation and excitement as we become more aware of the type of figure we're dealing with.
Nod equally to the future as you would to the past and still remain firmly planted in the now – that is what Leo has done here.

Italian-turned-Irishman Lerosa dishes us up some tasty sonic delights for the next installment of the louche podcast series. With a killer album set to drop imminently on Uzuri, Leo has been setting our subs alight with this mix the past week.
Italian-turned-Irishman Lerosa dishes us up some tasty sonic delights for the next installment of the louche podcast series. With a killer album set to drop imminently on Uzuri, Leo has been setting our subs alight with this mix the past week. The mix, while taking tracks from varied walks and styles of electronic music, keeps a distinctively raw flavour throughout and proves Lerosa to be a proper badman, definitely a name to be run through the lips and ears of many for time to come. Did someone say acid bassline?... Well done sir!
Lerosa will be playing on Friday the 15th of April in the Horst Krzbrg Club in Berlin at
Futura with Lerosa (Ostgut Ton, Millions Of Moments, Uzuri) & Quarion (Retreat, Drumpoet Community)
together with Quarion
