Liam Tate

Biography of Liam Tate

For quite some time Liam's reputation was for playing filthy, wobbly garage-like basslines, better known as fidget house. However, recently the genre has become diluted. With this in mind, Liam has been working his style of music and always has a good selection of the best electro house, house and progressive house in his chest of treasures. To suit the audience, his style is varied from the more uplifting house, funkier house to the deeper, driving groves of tech house and techno.

With the rise of Fidget came SKU-IF, a night started by Liam Tate and Rob Hedley (Glasshouse Resident in Leeds). This was Liam's debut gig. SKU-IF was held on a Saturday day time at the well renowned Leeds clubbing phenomena, MyHouse (formerly know as Stinkys Peephouse). SKU-IF was a successful event and got Liam know around the Leeds circuit. Prior to SKU-IF starting, Liam had been booked to play warm-up to Bass Kleph at Filth (Mint Club in Leeds), Discosting (Wakefield) and another event named Short Circuit. At this point Liam had only been spinning the decks for no more than a year. Since his debut, Liam has played at the I Love Leeds festival in Ibiza, Boutique in Sankey's - Manchester, Afterparty in Huddersfield and Dolly Box in Warrington. Liam has also recently scored a weekly residency for Bondi Knights in his home town of Barnsley.

In the last two years, his attitude to music has been changed. He is now more mature when it comes to music selection and is constantly striving to be different to fellow DJ's on the scene. He always has an open mind where music concerned and is very fast at recognising what works and what doesn't. Wherever Liam has played, the crowd have always sung his praises for many weeks and months after. He looks forward to the coming weeks and months as he learns to produce.
