In the tender age of 14 years Frankfurt/Main, Germany, born Lutz Markwirth worked the wheels of steel for the first time. Inspired by the Breakdance craze that spilled over the Atlantic from New York to Germany, he started mixing tapes for his breaker posse and DJ’ed at their battles. Shortly afterwards he got his first bookings from local clubs. R&B, Funk & Soul as well as early Hip Hop were the starting points in his musical career. He soon developed a broader taste through the strong influence of the Frankfurt Sound of the late 80s, which incorporated Electro and Industrial Techno. In the early 90s he finally got into House Music - the style that defines his musical mission until today.

Beside numerous national and international bookings Lutz Markwirth made a big impact as resident DJ in legendary Frankfurt clubs like “Cooky’s”, Frankfurt airport discotheque “Dorian Gray” and “L.O.F.T.-House” resulting in a strong crowd of disciples to his sound from all around the world. Especially the “L.O.F.T.-House” and it’s excessive parties were the place to be for an international party crowd in the mid-90s.

At the same time he was working as an A&R for "Logic Records" (Snap!). During this stint Lutz Markwirth signed Double 99’s “R.I.P. Groove”. This signing was the reason behind his reputation as the German speed garage pioneer. Around this time he also did a lot of compilations, music and remix productions for different labels and with different musical collaborators.

After his relocation to Berlin, Lutz Markwirth quickly gained ground in the capital’s nightlife. Currently he is resident DJ at “Puro Sky Lounge” since 2008.

He also became a member of the “nightwax” DJ team in 2008 and caters for a perfect sound with his groovy pumping sets for “Planet Radio” and at the enigmatic parties of “nightwax”. At the beginning of 2009 Lutz Markwirth was accepted as a member of the “Envy My Music” DJ roster. “Envy My Music” is the top party label from Germany, which is renowned for rocking Frankfurt’s “Cocoon Club” with their Saturday night events amongst many other locations.
