Madteo’s present for December is this exclusive Field Recording episode that he mixed for us. ‘’I might be the first to advocate a 'rawng' mixing style ehe... So much for Mancuso's 'No-Mixing' style of DJing. If you feel like a record could be great when it surmounts the other, but you never did it before or you might think it hard as one is a disco record and the other a house or a jazz or a rock record or whatever record, then that's what I mean... I like that mixing…’’

Jimi Tenor "Sahkomies LP" [Sahko]
I recently pulled out and listened to the Sahko releases I own (the PHILUS, OHM, and others) since I got some new ones lately. If time will tell, then Time-has-Told with these guys ! For all we ought to know, after almost 20years of 'minimal techno', that's the blue-print. I can only try saving my pennies, trying to avoid pick-pocketing or other devious ways to cop music like this. Example, "Take me baby" , it's techno, it's Pop, it's Disco, it's hooky but avant-garde, it's heavy and light, sardonic, ironic, sarcastic.. ineffable !

Salamandos "Master Of House'' [Bunker]
I probably know of D. Wolfers through his well known track "Disco Rout" in the early naughts.. Little did I know back then how prolific he was, had been and will remain in 15years of releasing regularly. I've browsed through his discogs page trying to listen to as many things as I could, wondering whether I'll ever actually find a bad record. Impossible. I dont ever like pondering on the 'best this' 'best that' but I reckon he's probably 'the most prolific' European producer of the past decade.

Drexciya "Harnessed The Storm" [Tresor]
Seven years ago, checking new sounds at a store, I saw that CD in the promo/pre-owned section, picked it up, almost bought it, at least wanted to, then got sidetracked or had made purchase already but I always remembered that scene in my head, like: "What an idiot I was !" (I should have brought whatever I'd gotten back and got that one in stead)... Staff did say to me "If you don't scoop it up now, it won't last" He was right, I never saw it in a shelf like that, ever after.

NY based Madteo (Meakusma, Morphine) spreads his sound with a mix of unreleased tracks and a bonus mix which shows his broader taste in music.
