To be forward thinking sometimes you have to look to the past. With soul music as his inspiration, and vinyl as his preferred medium, for young talent Makormic, history is definitely his influence.
His deep, melodic sound is celebrated at his residency at forward thinking night Doblar, run by Luna Records boss Paul Bowen. A love of focused, different house music has led to Makormic becoming the co-owner of Contrast-Wax, launching in 2012. A vinyl only label, run in conjunction with close friend and DJ Mark Graham, it promises to provide quality, rare releases, which would be sure to be played by Makormic himself.
