German party, collective, and soon to be net-label Blank is in the midst of prepping a free compilation which will celebrate the company of German producers it keeps. Pulled from the forthcoming Blank Tracks #01 collection is "Last Night," a sumptuous piece of jacking house credited to Mannheim resident ManooZ. Using drum machine-born rhythms as its backbone, the tune chugs through slippery chords, droning strings, and chopped vocal samples with a relaxed approach, but still one well suited for the dancefloor. ManooZ's contribution wiill be joined by others from Essay, B-Ju, JTRP, and more when Blank Tracks #01 sees a free release on June 7. Next up on ALiVE we have German producers Emanuel Satie & ManooZ, having worked already on prestigious labels Cecille, Noir & Souvenir we felt their sound fitted perfectly - 'Make it Work' is a silky smooth house groove that glides along effortlessly with a killa' deep b-line and male vocal snippets whilst 'Be Who I Be' ups the ante, with stabs and staccato female vocal hits bringing the energy. Polish duo 'Viadrina' (Pets Recordings) inject more of a main room feel into 'Make It Work' with tougher beats and synth work whilst 'DJ Le Roi' (Get Physical, 1 Trax) provides the rerub of ' Be Who I Be'.
