nice review by Rob Warner about Fanatico's "Tessio"
"The original mix is a low-key Berlin-style house groove which has the vocals sitting front and centre as the main event. Keeping the keys and baseline lower in the mix is a big part of the track's appeal, focusing it more on the song.
KINK does his trademark tracky drum track thing on his dub version - it's a slight surprise that the vocals only get used peripherally on this mix but what he does he does so well, hooking you into a stabby groove and not letting go.
M.in and Chriss Vogt contribute a remix and a dub, both of which rock. In a roughly Noir & Haze "Around" sort of space they built their ideas slowly, burning the groove into your head before starting the vocal tease and adding a subtle melody.
The vocal remix is a monster of a track which shows the new M.in and Chriss Vogt duo is working out just fine."

Fanatico is a new project of DJ-producer Mathias Schaffhäuser and vocalist Jorge Socarrás from New York. The project came about when Mathias Schaffhäuser did a remix of a track from the Patrick Cowley and Jorge Socarrás vintage 70’s album, “Catholic,” which was retro-released in 2009 by Macro Music, Berlin.
Some DJ Feedback:

Munk (Gomma Rec. / Munich): “Superb release. The Kink remix is already featured in my new mix. Bomb! But also the original… / Super release! Der Kink rmx is schon auf meinem neuen Mix drauf. Hammer! Aber original auch… ”

Martin Eyerer (Kling Klong / Session Deluxe): “Great release. Will play in my radio show! / Tolles Release! Werde ich im Radio spielen.”

Johnny Dynell (New York): „Amazing! I really like the original. Also the Space Dub is killer! Congratulations."

Mr. Statik (Bpitch Control / Athens): “Loving the Kink raw dub.”

Robert Owens: “for me, the m.in freat chriss vogt dub mix, great.”

Chloé (Bpitch Control): “very nice release, all tracks are very good special mention to Kink's mix & Chriss Vogt remix.”

Nick Warren (Hope Rec., Global Underground): “Love the original mixes, will support.”

out now: Fanatico - Tessio (incl. remixes by KiNK and M.in feat. Chriss Vogt), my new project together with the fantastic new yorkian vocalist JORGE SOCARRÁS (macro music, Indoor Life).
That's what Juno Download writes about it:
"This release could so easily have become one of the thousands of living examples of the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" maxim. Thankfully, Fanatico has done a really tasteful version of the classic deep/minimal house track by Luomo aka Vladislav Delay. Featuring vocals that sound like Mark Hollis from Talk Talk at his most ponderous, the loose beats and lumbering rhythm make for a perfect accompaniment. Kink's version is more techno-focused, pushing the track into a heavenly chord sequence, while Chris Vogt delivers two bass-heavy versions that resonate with heavy claps and a soaring bass. The Space Dub version adds a layer of out there weirdness- something that Luomo would surely approve of."
