Matt Elation was born in 1982 in Germany. He grew up in a small town called Ludwigsfelde, located in the south of Berlin. Matt was brought together with music by his father, who was one of the most famous Club-DJs in the GDR. From his early childhood on, he attended his father to several club gigs in Berlin, Potsdam, Rostock and other cities in the GDR, not always to the happiness of his mother. In the age of 6 they moved to Berlin, where Matt quickly became the "man" for the music in the primary and secondary school. At the age of 10 he had his first gig on a school trip, using two ghettoblasters to avoid breaks between the tracks.
