Max Perez is a disk jockey and producer that was born in the south of Chile. When he was 16 years old, Max learned the universal technique of Djing old school on vinyl albums, based on the structure of rhythm. With professional formation in cinema, it is in music and esthetics where he finds refuge, greatly influenced by his Painter Uncle, who instilled in him the true value of innovation always under an “underground” and avant-garde setting. Currently he is studying Piano and Music composition behind the Andes mountain range. His sets are prepared where “under” is the main course, seasoned with carioca influence and some musical seals like Cadenza or Planet-e, where he creates his own influence, expressing his love for elegant and sophisticated melodies, in search of giving a profound and hopeful message in each of his compositions. Crossing boundaries, Max has taken his music to Europe and Brazil, with great success, probably because his objectives are finesse and innovation, and achieving classics through his productions or his Dj sets, so that as he says “music may live for many years.” In the last 2 years, Max has played at the best clubs of Chile and Brazil, including Club D-Edge (Sao Paulo), Club La Feria (Santiago), Club Declive Afterhour (Santiago), Vegas Club (Sao Paulo), Café de la Musiqué, only to name a few. Thus, he has released in 2010 “Razones EP” with Disco Royal records Chile, and is preparing new projects and remixes for different labels. In short, he is one of few Chilean Djs with international projections, both as a producer and Dj, because his tour through these clubs in both of the countries where he lives in, shows that Max has won respect among his peers and the favor of both the Chilean and Brazilian underground scene.
