 | | | Real name / | Edgar Aguilar | Edgar Aguilar, a.k.a. Maxson, is a young producer from Jalisco, Mexico. In 2005 he began his career as a Dj being influenced by IDM, Techno and experimental music, specially by artists such as: Autechre, Matmos, Aphex Twin, Plastikman amomg others. His style as a Dj and producer is directed to the dance floor. Maxson explores obscure textures, complex rhythms and micro sampling to achieve a more synthetic than natural sound. Important local and international artists have recognized his music. Currently he continues producing and together with Mexican artist Gabriel Rico and Virginia Jauregui,he manages Artica, a company that focuses on the promotion of audiovisual art.
He just launched at the end of 2010 his own record label called Nonpop Records conformed by excelent producers
