The very talented and all around house/techno/food/Arsenal infatuated gentleman from Toronto – Meech – delivers an exclusive best of 2012 groovy house mix in the Mixin It Up for us here at Discobelle. Starting off with British wonder Julio Bashmore and then he incorporates some of his own excellent releases along with some deep jams from the likes of Forrest, George Fitzgerald, Disclosure and ends with the stellar Lorca track “Love Like This”.

Ah, Canada. There must be something in the air up there, as over the past few years Canada has made a more than notable name for itself in the upbringing of a very large number of talented producers. Everywhere I turn, every lineup, and in the depths or surface of every music blog on the interwebs, Canadian producers. And they’re all so amazing at making music. Share the wealth, Canada!

To the many that surround him Meech is more than just a seasoned DJ, he's a collector of true taste. Setting a local standard for careful selection he is one of Toronto's few prospects drafting the nightlife niches he was raised in. Often spotted on bills supporting the caravans of traveling headliners washing in and out of town, Meech lays down a cunning foundation for the big names to build on.

Meech has made a solid contribution to the underground dance scene not only on Canadian soil but also American and European. The young producer has already released goodies on Discobelle Records, Dim Mak Records and a number of other labels. He’s played on some of the biggest stages like WMC in Miami, Avalon in Los Angeles, Social Club Paris, and others. He’s gained support from acts like AutoErotique, Crookers, LA Riots, NT89, Sound Pellegrino, Youngunz and many more.

Highly prromising overseas duo Meati & Meech is set to release its brand new material on Discobelle Records (out on june, 13th). It's called Bock and contains a package of 2 originals/4 remixes by some choice producers : Panton, Poupon, Deebs and SunnyBeach HappySlap MardiGras. Actually, these guys are on my top list, that's why I'm really enthusiastic about this upcoming exotic release.

With the inevitable liberation of Nick Monaco’s forthcoming “Boom Soul” EP on Demento Mori, it was only fitting for this promising talent to seek a slew of remixes to further ratify his upcoming release. Turning to the widely appealing dynamic of Meati & Meech for a rather prolific take on the title track, the pairing escort us through what can only be described in words as a bashful decree of rhythmic destinations.
