Sun, 16 Jan 2011  /  Post a commentIt’s hard to think of a previous time when electronic music has crackled with this much prodigious creativity, and it’s against this exciting backdrop we have selected the following ten artists whose music we will be watching with a decidedly hawkish eye during 2011.
Tue, 29 Jun 2010  /  Post a commentMic Newman needs no introduction. Having produced some of most exciting tech.house ever to come out of Australia, and been recognised by, and remixed, the likes of Dirty South, Booka Shade, and a frankly mindblowing assault on Criss Sol and J Foster (Every You, Every Me). His first release for murmur is no different.
Thu, 27 May 2010  /  Post a commentThe Melbourne Deepcast; A podcast without boundaries, exclusively showcasing unique electronic artists and dj’s from Melbourne, Australia and abroad. A vehicle for depth and creativity, with the basic aim of allowing artists and dj’s a chance to experiment, convey moods, be original and truly be themselves, without a dance floor to judge, or genre to conform to.
In the past few years Melbourne has slowly given birth to a small handful of house artists and only a few of them have really made an impact overseas; our mate Mic is definitely one of those few.
Somewhat of a work horse in the studio, his attention to detail has seen him landing on labels like Murmur, Get Physical, 8 bit, Great Stuff, Tsuba...the list goes on. He can hold his own in front of a crowd as well, playing anywhere and everywhere in Melbourne and playing a few parties in Europe last summer too.
His Deepcast is a mixture of young and old and finishes with a new track of his on 2020 Vision coming out soon. Oh yep..
