Mike Doc began his obsession with dance music back in the very early nineties.At the tender age of 14 he was like a sponge,soaking up whatever music he could get his hands on.When he was 16 he went to his first event.It was the Munster Dj competition held in his home town,Tralee.From that night on he knew he wanted to be a Dj.As soon as he looked old enough he started going to the now infamous Horan's to see Dj's such as; Trevor Rockliffe,Justin Robertson,Billy Nasty,Marco Carola,Umek,Alan Thompson,Steve Thomas and Christian Smith to name but a few. At 18 Mike Doc bought his first set of decks.2 years later he would get his first taste of playing in a club.Horan's were running a Dj competition where he reached the final.At this stage Mike Doc's house and techno influences were begining to shine through.At present he Dj's at various nights such as Homegrown and Fusion.He has played alongside the likes of Trevor Rockliffe,Jon Rundell,Fergie,Adam Sheridan,Mark Kavanagh,Jonno Brien plus many more. Mike Doc began producing his own music in 2006.His style falling somewhere between groovy minimal techno and tech-house.2010 looks like its going to be a promising year for Mike Doc with his music coming out on various labels!
