MR. DAISHIKI JONES (Alvin Booth) has been an integral figure in Dallas House Music culture since 1989 and has a long list of residencies and guest appearances at local clubs such as S.O.A., Club One, 2826, Lizard Lounge, Art Bar, Orchard Bar, Minc, Velocity, Soul II Soul, Sand Bar; the Pharmacy; Ruby Room, Afterlife, the Cavern, Whiskey Bar and dozens others.
He has played alongside a virtual who's who in the world of House Music including, Lady D, Gene Farris, DJ Dayhota, DJ Disciple, DJ Pierre, Karizma, Doc Martin, Jason Bentley, Diz, Roy Davis Jr., Boo Williams; Justin Long, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Scott K, Demarkus Lewis, JT. Donaldson, Glenn Underground, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Luke Sardello, Tim Shumaker (Home & Garden) and his talent has blessed him and he has spun at clubs, lounges and warehouse events in diverse locales such as San Diego, Los Angeles, El Paso, Lubbock and the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
As a member of the local dj collective GOTHOUSE?, Mr. Daishiki Jones helped seminal Dallas club Minc win the DALLAS OBSERVER "Best Alternative Club" Award for 2005.
Besides being a dj, he has worked as co-director of the defunct North Texas Dance Association record pool alongside Dallas dj legend Tony Aco. And if that's not enough, he has been involved in the promotion of nightclub events with his company FUNKANOVA and with Los Angeles based FRESCOGEAR.
