Spring is here again, tender age in bloom. And how do we know? Because the ever-prolific Neil Diablo has put together another change-of-season mix CD for gentlemen's couturier du jour, the wonderful TukTuk clothing.
Plotting a fathoms-deep and distinctly nautical course through Balearic groovers old and new, this meditative blend will take you where you need to go, NYCE & SLO. Nicolas Jaar, one of the undisputed stars of 2011, opens the set with his new Darkside alias, before John Martyn’s classic ‘Dealer Version’ and Todd Terje’s ‘Myggsommer’ steer us into gently pacier territory. Fold in a bit of Ta’Boo, Linda Di Franco and Al Usher, and you have the perfect accompaniment to a nap on the bow.

TukTuk Summer is a limited edition and comes handily housed in a denim fabric pocket with button fastening.

Available from Piccadilly Records now.

01. Darkside – Darkside
02. Someone – Beat
03. Lil Louis – Nyce & Slo
04. Quintus Project – Night Flight (Lexx Edit)
05. Tiedye – Fisherman’s Bend
06. John Martyn – Dealer Version
07. Todd Terje – Myggsommer
08. New Look – Nap On The Bow
09. Ta’boo – Over The Ledge (Rub Dub)
10. Linda Di Franco – My Boss
11. Al Usher – Lullaby For Robert
12. Born Blonde – Radio Bliss (Seahawks Everything So Green Mix)

Check out Neil Diablo's Soundcloud round-up of 2011 plus brand new BLACKOUT mix.
So, 2011 – how was it for you? It’s been a vintage year for us, albeit a bit hot ‘n’ hectic down here in Hades. We’ve hosted hometown hoedowns at Kraak (James Priestley), Islington Mill (Cottam) and Soup Kitchen (Crazy P); launched a brand new night called BLACKOUT (Justin Robertson, James Holrord); slapped on the Factor 30 at Garden Festival and Electric Elephant; slayed the mud monster at Glastonbury; and genuflected before Reverend Norman Jay at Deaf. But in spite of all this feverish hedonism, Satan’s savviest servant Neil Scott has still found time to put out a slew of edits, remixes, original tracks and full sets. We know you’d be gutted to miss any of the action, so Neil has kindly documented it all via his Soundcloud page. You will also find a BRAND NEW BLACKOUT mix in anticipation of this Saturday night’s soiree avec James Holroyd.

CAUTION: Psychedelic disco drama contained within!

Fresh from a hectic summer of European beach festivals and pop-up parties, Neil Diablo returns with another super-limited hand-stamped 12? of ‘Evil K’neil’ edits, guaranteed to make your dancefloor go from naught to ‘WOOOOAH!’ in sixty seconds.
First up we get a subtly nipped and tucked version of the Harari classic ‘Party’. You’ll recognise it as an El Diablo’s favourite – it’s the one that sounds like Hot Chocolate coming up on Mitsubishis at the Loft. Flip to find Patrick Cowley’s 1981 banger ‘Get A Little’ – a synth-disco anthem that won’t take no for an answer, presented here with neatened tempo and trademark ‘K’neil’ heft.

A ‘break glass in emergency’ record for epic nights out or naughty nights in, ‘To Rack and Ruin Vol 2' is available now from Piccadilly Records. But blink, motherfuckers, and you will miss it.
