Moniker(s) / The Nick Jones Experience/The Soul Movement/ Moments of Soul

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Nick Jones’ music career began as a young listener of the live club parties broadcasted on New York City radio stations in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Influenced by the energy of these parties, he began to develop his craft while deejaying at local parties in his neighborhood.
After graduating from high school in the early 1980’s, Nick moved to New York City and began working at a record store called High Tech Music which was owned by Studio 54 DJ Leroy Washington. Nick has also appeared as a guest DJ at New York clubs such as The Underground, The Area, Ozone Layer, The Shelter, Sound Factory Bar, Tracks, Body & Soul and Redzone. A dream come true occurred during this time when he was invited to guest DJ on radio shows on the KISS-FM Mastermix, WBLS and Tokyo FM

Nick has also had the pleasure of touring extensively throughout Europe and Canada.
