Biography of Nils Ohrmann

Born in the province of Lower Saxony/ Germany, Nils got in touch with
eletronic dancemusic in the legendary Club „Aufschwung Ost“/ Kassel in the
early nineties, and deeply impressed from this development, the former
punkrock-guitarist hung up his guitar and started Djing.
In 1996 Nils made the inevitable move to Berlin primary to study sociology,
but also to improve his chances for performance in the local club scene.
After he finished his studies in 2004, he gained residencies in smaller
bars and clubs, and mainly started focusing on Djing and organizig parties.
His „unsereKleinewelt“ series enabled him a platform to present his sound
to a bigger audience, and for sure, to get in touch with countless guest
musicians like Acid Pauli, Jesse Rose, Solomun and many others.
Meanwhile having played in Clubs like Tresor, Bar 25, Wilde Renate -just to
name a few- Nils released his first record in 2009. With it´s lavicious,
sweaty summer spirit, „Le Funk Fatale“ quickly became a huge success in the
local club scenes, setting off lots of bookings all over Germany and
By the end of 2010 Nils and his friend Daniel Steinberg founded their own
label „Arms & Legs“, on which also his current masterpiece „In Ya Face“ was
released in May 2012.
