Norbert was born in Poland, but he currently resides in Berlin. Already as a child he showed a great interest in music, which was surely a result of the fact that his family had had strong ties to music for generations, beginning with his great grandfather, who owned a piano factory; to his world-renowned grandfather who tuned pianos for Steinway & Sons; to his mother, who is a music teacher. At the age of 6 he began to play the piano, and at the age of seven he began his studies in music school.
