Wed, 13 Jun 2012  /  Post a commentFor our 41st release on Area Remote we’re excited to welcome back
OLDERIC.
His signature sound of full-on drum rhythms, phat bass lines and energy has led
him to release on label greats such as Saved Records, Bitten, Terminal M and
once again on Area Remote.
TRACKLISTING
A: UTOPIAN
B: UTOPIAN (Alex Tepper's Long Ride to Deadwood Mix)
Digital: UTOPIAN (Alex Tepper's For The Hoople Heads Dub)
UTOPIAN: Inspired by the energy, the sunshine and the crazy people on the
white isle, Olderic returns to bring the Ibiza heat to Area Remote by going loco
with the latino loop, letting it flow and widen across spicy rhythms and vocal
melodies. It’s not just perfect, it’s Utopian!
UTOPIAN (Alex Tepper's Long Ride to Deadwood Mix): You may scratch
your head upon hearing Alex Tepper’s name, but for sure you’ve heard some of
the hundreds of releases that have been touched by his hands in almost 20
years in the business. Working under a variety of pseudonyms or as
collaborator to some of the biggest names in house music, his releases have
had everyone from Pete Tong to Kevin Saunderson heaping plaudits on them.
For his ‘Long Ride to Deadwood Mix’ he takes a powerful twist down the remix
route retaining the vocal melodies but amplifying the cavernous drums to give it
an urgent sense of foreboding, bolstered by a pumping kick.
UTOPIAN (Alex Tepper's For The Hoople Heads Dub): Just like Al
Swearingen ‘s language, this remix is strong and gloriously riveting. Just
bounce!

TRACK LIST
A1: Olderic & Alex Piccini - Hangout
B1: Olderic & Alex Piccini - Hangout Darius Syrossian Remix
B2: Olderic & Alex Piccini – Hangover
For Thirtyonetwenty’s 17th strike we welcome OLDERIC & ALEX PICCINI
HANGOUT: A deep rolling baseline combined with layers of grooving drum patterns and catchy vocal snippets on top, are the ingredients which lead "HANGOUT" to an ultimate climax, this is as good as Tech-house can get!
HANGOUT (DARIUS SYROSSIAN REMIX): On the flipside you’ll find a remix by no less than Darius Syrossian. Not only is he one of the main members of Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC record label family scoring one of their biggest selling hits last year with Luis Conte 2010 also saw him adopted BIG time by the global club and festival circuit. His take on "HANGOUT" turns the track into a House-monster, which already proved it's power at some of the festivals this Summer.
HANGOVER: After a night of hanging out, the hangover usually follows. This is a bass driven Techno track which suits itself perfectly for the Bigrooms!

Sat, 09 Apr 2011  /  Post a commentFor our 29th release we’re happy to welcome Venice born music partners-in-crime OLDERIC & ALEX PICCINI
We’re happy they’ve worked their Italian magic with these 3 tunes:
1. mister postman
2. invisible touch
3. silent runner
Alex Piccini already owned turntables at 16yrs. By 2004 he moved to Milan and began his career as a producer and a resident DJ in local clubs. Eight years on he has now sees his releases on Bitten, - Sandy Huner and 2000 & One’s hot techhouse Amsterdam imprint - as well as Nic Fanciulli’s label Saved Records.
Olderic’s sound is influenced by a background of different styles of music, combined with percussive grooves, deep bass lines; his style ranges from deep groovy house to floor-pumping tech-house, always funky and danceable. 2010 welcomed a string of hits including ‘Monkey Business” on Terminal M.
We’re happy they’ve worked their Italian magic with these 3 tunes:
MISTER POSTMAN: Fun and flirtatious. It’s time to get bobbing with this full on happy-vibe swing, Italian style. Full of springy bounce and vocal snippets to shimmy too.
INVISIBLE TOUCH: Rich deep beats with a creamy, smooth groove rinsed with some subtle synths and melodic distant stabs. Tasty stuff!
SILENT RUNNER: Determined and grittier, with chord wallops and faint vocals for a dance marathon, Area Remote style ;)

B1 // Olderic "Monkey Business" Olderic is a new name in the upcoming generation of talent to emerge from the Italian underground scene, and versatility is his weapon of choice! Equally comfortable performing his own music live as well as DJing, he currently holds a residency in his native Venice. His sets are a multifaceted mix of modern and old school house, and groovy tech house, all spiced up with his own productions, loops, edits and weird samples collected from all imaginable sources. "Monkey Business", a disco house track that kicks your ass! It's a pumping, high energy track right from the beginning, with lively percussion, dashes of house synth, disco Miami-kissed filtered guitar scratches, and a playful MC with a very important message in the break for everyone in the club. "Monkey Business" has everything you need to bring the people to the dancefloor!
