UCHU – Her Eyes On the Horizon
Track 1 –Sol Ascendant - This track starts of the EP with a sunrise type appeal, with a true sense of freedom. A dreamy sequence of drum patterns, ranging from breaks to minimal aspects. A personal touch using his own guitar riffs as a dreamy atmosheric element. As the track floats alongm, a mesmorizing chord builds and flows in and out of the track.
Track 2 – 3AM Samurai – Imagine a mist over a body of water and simply fishing. Kicking into a serious state, a heavy, heavy mist covers the overall start of the track. A solid kick drum with a chello swoon accompanied by layered atmospherics bring in an ominous song that ranges in various sounds. The Samurai influence jump in with great Kyoto chords and sneak in and out until the end of the song.
Track 3 – Inner Ear – This is the core track of the EP, with a heavy influence from Pink Floyd. As Pink Floyd did with their songs, this track pulsates a dreamy or ominous feel, depending on mood. As the drum kicks, with a bass-line, sweet sounds once again from Uchu’s own guitar effects. As the track continues, the listener stays involved through shuffled beats, various stabs, hypnotizing atmospherics and ehoed guitar riffs.
Track 4 – Forest Runner – As you run through the forest, a tribesman or native runs through the forest hunting or exploring. A heartbeat sound kicks, the synths feel as if the sounds float into the sky, it gives true justice to the title of the track. Skipping beats, tripping over itself as it transitions into forest sounds of birds, bees, frogs and the like, a feeling of dew drops coming from the effects.
Track 5 – Water – “Water is essential to life as we know it…” As the rain falls, a calming soun of rising and falling chords goest into an effects layden scroll of waterfall,buzzing sta bs, a documentary statement and the return of the kyoto with more elaborate effects. This all goes on while a captivating trasition of shuffled beats and breaks flow with one another.

Yes, yes, this is a last minute post but myself-Paul Leath - and The Notorious P.I.G. from Common Ground and el otro mundo are playing at Mars Bar. This is to take advantage of the great weather and the Summer winding down.
We will be playing house of all varieties, dub/reggae and a hint of minimal and techno.
The day will kick off around 2pm and we will be going until Sundown.
