Biography of Paul Louth

Real name /

There is a retarded belief engineered by the rapidly falling Superclub Empire and its dole-queue trance followers that there is no new DJ talent coming through the ranks. Bollocks. There's plenty, they just don't play all that obvious day-glo wank championed by the likes of --insert name of ridiculously overpaid ego here--.

There's a new breed of fresh, exciting DJ talent waiting in line and despite the old guards unwillingness to surrender their high-earning mantle, eventually talent will out. Paul Louth is one of London's most promising prospects currently emerging on the capitals highly competitive up and coming DJ circuit. Originally from Derby, 27-year-old Paul has been DJing for the last five years, playing anything from tech-house to nu-skool breaks, but always with a funky edge.

In the last year Paul has secured a monthly residency with Prologue at one of London's most respected venues, The Cross. As well as making guest appearances at Bedrock, Alderaan, Inertia, Intensity, Magic in Poland, Distraction in Sweden, and many more. Paul was behind the pilot-club night of Excession (Sasha's agency) alongside fellow rising star James Zabiela. However, Paul's growing popularity is largely due to the loyal following he has earned from his own event, Wire – the official Bedrock pre-party. John Digweed was so pleased with its success that he’s asked Paul to do a guest mix for his KISS FM radio show. With residencies on Internet radio stations www.Groovetech.com and www.ProtonRadio.com and a host of production work including a remix of Conceptual's 'Sit On My Bass' for Fracas Recordings, it would appear the future has whipped out its big red talent marker and written Paul Louth all over it.
