Biography of Philippe Autuori


Philippe Autuori is originally an artist from the south of France.

He started playing music as a Rock guitarist, but quickly he went on playing different kinds of music in various bands. In 92, he discovered House music when he was travelling in NYC. When he came back, he bought turntables and started spinning in clubs, bars and private parties. He became the resident DJ for two seasons at the Plage du Souleil in Palavas (The Gravity Festival and The Plagesss) before moving to Paris.

In 2002 he bought his own home studio and started producing. In 2004 he released a track sponsored by the Rinoceroses in the compilation "Cool Friends from South of France" (Discograph). Then he moved to Paris where he did a remix from "Monster" originally a Quizz feat. El Nigno’s song on Dialect recordings.

He also produced an exclusive track for the Poker Flat vol.5 compilation alongside artists like Dan Berkson & James What, Jamie Jones, John Tejada & Bilal Bashir, Martin Buttrich, Steve Bug & Cle.

Now based in Berlin, he released the Battle 013 in confrontation with Dave DK & Holger Zilske and an 12" on Hypercolour with remixes from Shenoda, Nic Fanciulli and Peace Division.
