A friendship born almost by chance, after their reunion years later. It was just a sign of destiny, Sergio Pablo had to give life to “Pulshar”. An unusual story of two boys fascinated by hip hop, soul and especially by reggae, considered an absolute inspiration. After their first releases, they are suddenly catapulted to Sonar and they were soon able to surprise through their constant electronic experimentations also Loco Dice, who wanted to bet on them without hesitation with an entire album (“Brotherhood”) on his label Desolat. Although their music can not be considered for clubs, these guys have shown their skills multiplying their gigs, collecting positive feedbacks and with a great promise in the near future to release something really hot for the lovers of their sound.

Besides the duo's love of classic cinema soundtracks that you can hear on the album the guys also collaborate with Roberto Sanchez, who is a leading figure in the European roots reggae scene. Pulshar's "Inside LP" is out on Desolat. Here is How They Did It:
Down by the River:
We decided to reWRITE “Dub by the River” because, EVEN THOUGH we love IT THE WAY IT IS, it SOUNDED too SLOW to be played LIVE. The fist time we playED It was AT Sonar 2008. IN THIS CASE WE changED the drumS TO BOOST THE THEME. This song is based on "Any River" by Burning Spear. So, following the Jamaican versions culture, we already have got two different versions of it.
Stepping Stones:
The original version is BY H.T.Spliff, an obscure UK band with A really bad sound, but an exquisite flow, and we decideD to MAKE A cover OF it . We invited Roberto Sanchez from A-Lone Productions to play the drums, guitars and keyboards. We added some vintage synths, percussion and voice. IT Was recorded in Santander and mixed in Barcelona...On this track we try to bring BACK the fresh UK reggae sound from THE early 80´s.
Distant Fire:
Reading some texts from Edgar Allan Poe, we started to translate that dark and irreversible feeling into OUR music...talking about love, death and infinite space. It sounds like a mix BETWEEN dubstep and bands LIKE Siouxie and The Banshees or The Cure. It Is the darkest track FROM thIS album, JUST LIKE Nospheratu WAS in "Brotherhood".
Da Creator:
Sometimes, JUST ONE sampler gives you all the infoRMATION NECESSARY to BEGIN WITH. We haD BEEN working ON a really cool and strange sample from a 70´s electronic band...the feeling WE GOT FROM listening to it again and again was enough FOR US...we only had to APPLY thAT sound, and add the right ingredients and voice .We don't really know what kind of style it is.. Martian hiphop? The creation of the World Anthem? The soundtrack of a rocket taking off?
