Born and raised in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Rafael Belfort developed an early interest in music after his parents had him take piano lessons at 7 years old. At 18, he joined a band of the most popular rhythm of Brazil: samba. At that time, he was going for school for marketing, which he graduated in 2004. In 2005 he was already working actively at clubs and large venues promoting parties, but got tired of being in the same scene for so long and decided to migrate to the US. After studying and working for a few years, finally in 2009 he got back to what he loved the most: music. He landed Zineprod promotion that soon became a successful dj agency as well.
