It’s Red D time, Belgian DJ and producer based in Deinze. The influences acting on the artist in question are numerous and largely repeat the characteristic sonorities of Chicago and Detroit House. Driven by a passion for these styles, he does an excellent job of musical research for his label, We Play House Recordings, which has now reached a great recognition of the most important european label of house music. This, thanks to the success of the first release of the project that saw as starring his friend Nicolas Geysens aka San Soda. The mix below is the best way to deepen what has just been described. If you prefer, however, you can invite him to drink a beer, he will definitely be pleased.

Mon, 30 Jan 2012  /  1 CommentRed D is one-half of FCL which is a duo I’ve been a fan of since I first heard the track “Let’s Go”. Download it on your favorite torrent tracker or buy it or something it’s sweet. I couldn’t quite finger the genre, so I made up my own and I call it rollerblade house. Think dayglo nylon jackets, those ugly as fuck neon sunglasses your baseball coach wore, and of course, roller blades.

Fri, 14 May 2010  /  11 CommentsThis one's a peach. Belgium selector Red D moves through the funk, disco and house gears for the Delicious Records blog. Sylvia Striplin, Chez Damier and Tensnake all feature.
Fri, 14 Nov 2008  /  Post a commentUnexpected collaboration on the Ten Days Off festival in Ghent in 2008. Kerri Chandler played before I was on with my singer Lady Linn. We do a couple of tracks + vocals he made and so I just asked him to join us live. The movie and sound are not all that, but the moment was pretty magical and the crowd pretty berserk, so there :-)
