After attending her first massive rave, she bought turntables. A year later, Red Sonya took San Diego by storm, and has not let up since. House music was her first vinyl fetish and after years of buying records her collection has grown to include downtempo, trip hop, funk, soul, and drum and bass. Whatever style of music Sonya plays, whether she’s rocking a moving dance floor, closing out the night, or dropping tracks at a restaurant, you’ll for sure hear funky bass lines, tripped out beats, and the smooth mixing that she is known for.
