Robert Lowell began deejaying in late 1999. Influenced by a wide variety of musical styles,including, jazz, funk, and the classic sound of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Robert took up drums and saxophone early on to learn the rudiments of musical theory and continued education with a certificate in ableton production from Berklee College of Music.
Introduced to techno and house music through friends and radio broadcasts on the local stations in Detroit. He was quickly drawn to the sound of groovy, melodic tech-house and deep house sounds. Attracted to the nightlife in Detroit, Robert has played alongside many well known artists over the years as well as held down a few residencies in Ann Arbor to Detroit.
Continuing now to push the envelope and tweak knobs with developing one-of-a-kind audio and midi controllers to enhance deejay performances and live performances. We can see him now curently hard at work on music production with both digital and analog audio equipment like clones of the infamous 808's and 303's vintage hardware, fm synthesizers and 8 bit c64 synthesizers. |
