Sami Dee/Bud Munk was born on the small island of Bahrain in 1979, his early musical influences were 80s breakdance beats, Micheal Jackson, and old Bob Marley records. After moving to the u.k. (Morecambe) in 1987 it wasn't long before Dee was introduced to hip hop, acid house and rave music, artists such as the Wu Tang Clan, 808 State and Sasha were popular on the underground scene at the time. In '93 Dee started DJing at house parties, and his musical taste shifted as he began to gravitate towards u.s. house, mix tapes by Graeme Park, Roger Sanchez and Armand Van Helden were amongst favourites.
