While much of electronic music that you hear about these days tends to be outward focusing, exuberant styles made for the dance, there is a steady undercurrent of disfigured, foreboding tracks that seek to re-define the relationship between rhythm and sound design. The output of one Samuel Kerridge descends into this labyrinth of aural architecture, decimating kick drums and feedback with unearthly amounts of distortion until we’re left with a dripping, toxic style of techno.

Starting with his first turntables at the tender age of 14, Samuel was raised on Electronic music, owing it all to his parents who jumped onto the Acid house scene in the late 80's.
Not afraid to question people's perceptions of clubbing, he Co-founded the Contort events in Berlin, not only as an outlet for his own artistic vision, but to bring back a level of creativity and magic to a stale club scene.
Samuel sculptures his soundscape from a range of musical influences, decimating kick drums and feedback with unearthly amounts of distortion until you're left with a dripping, toxic style of techno.
2012 saw Samuel debut on Horizontal Ground, with 2013 bringing more releases on the legendary Downwards record label. Keep this boy on your radar.
