Famous as an international melting pot and nightlife mecca, San Francisco's club scene has produced some uniquely prominent sounds, a situation well-exploited by DJ/Producer Scott Carrelli. Often billed as progressive house, Carrelli's "contrastflow" sound utilizes progressive, deep house, breaks, electro and techno, melding human energy into an emotional dance floor journey.

His rise in the San Francisco scene started several years ago with his residency at the popular San Francisco weekly, SatelliteSF. It eventually moved to its current home, local hot spot Anu, run by ElectroCelt Promotions, famous for their Hybrid Boat Party aboard a $10 million yacht on which Carrelli's talents were recently featured. SatelliteSF's unique format has enabled Scott to tag-team with select local upcoming and big name DJs alike, giving him consistent access to newer and bigger sounds. Its popularity has attracted and allowed him to play alongside global talents such as Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Hybrid, Lucien Foort and Sean Cusick. It's his unique sound and SatelliteSF's momentum, however, that keeps Anu bursting at the seams every Wednesday night.

Carrelli attributes his success to his mentor and occasional tag-team partner, Spesh, of the successful production team Jondi & Spesh. It was Spesh's recognition of Scott's unique style that landed him his residency at Qoöl, a world famous "clubbing at happy hour" spot and San Francisco's longest running weekly. It was through Jondi & Spesh's record label, Looq, where Scott met and began producing with David Gropper of RND (). Their track, "Wabi Sabi" will be out on Nutbass Records at the 2005 Winter Music Conference. He's now working on several solo and collaborative projects in the studio due out in Spring 2005.

A regular guest of Spundae (in San Francisco/Los Angeles), Club 1015, Opel Productions, and Mezzanine Scott has played with such luminaries as Anthony Pappa, Felix Da Housecat, Paul Van Dyk, Derrick Carter and Sasha. He was a crowd favorite at last year's Love Parade in San Francisco and is regularly featured on internet stations Proton Radio, Australia's Triple J and just signed for a 2 hour monthly slot on Frisky Radio. With his increasing global appeal, Carrelli has toured Australia and recently returned from a Romanian tour.
