Biography of Seba Lecompte | | | Moniker(s) / | Wings Of Sound |
After exploring his parents record collection and also influenced by some older friends Seba discovered electronic music at a very young age.
In the summer of 1994 he began to collect records and started to deejay at the age of 13.
In his early days Seba played all kinds of electronic music but influenced by the sounds of Detroit his style evolved to a mix of minimal over tech-house to melodic and solid techno. As Seba finds most techno deejays too monotone, he tries to put more variation and melody in his sets.
Seba is one of the driving members of the Belgian techno collective called SoundAttack. Since 2001 the SoundAttack crew organised more than 30 events and invited guests such as Joris Voorn (Nl), Gabriel Ananda (Ger), Magda (Can), Dave Ellesmere (Uk), Estroe (Nl), Miss Yetti (Ger), Stewart Walker (Usa), Pheek (Can), Dave Mothersole (Uk), Heartthrob (Usa), Anders Ilar (Swe) to name a few.
Over the years Seba performed all over Belgium. Highlights of 13 years behind the decks are his sets at places like Fuse, Kozzmozz, 10 Days Off, I Love Techno, Laundry Day, Café D'Anvers, Silo, Decadance, Made In Brussels, ...
Seba also started to spread his vibe abroad: he played at Raum-Klang (Berlin), Folies Pigalles (Paris), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Doornroosje / Planet Rose (Nijmegen), Sugarfactory (Amsterdam) and The Old Cave (Nijmegen)
In 2004 Seba became a weekly resident at Club Decadance in Gent on their techno Wednesdays. In June 2006 Seba became the new monthly resident of the (in)famous club Fuse in Brussels after been chosen out of more than 200 candidates.
Besides deejaying Seba is also active as a producer in a project called Wings of sound together with Kim Kurz, another SoundAttack member.
Comprising of a mix of house through to melodic techno, this duo know how to make you move. Together they performed several live-pa’s to strengthen their production and performing abilities. In 2004 this duo released their first ep on the London based imprint Eukatech. Their second 12” was released on Floor Music, another Uk label.
At this moment they are working on the final details of some new material and have many plans for the future.
