Sebastien Bromberger manages the label « Modelisme » he created with his buddy Laurent Cristofol also a member of the duet « Electronic Data Processing ».
A youngster in the 80’s, he got hit by the post punk, new wave, electro and techno pop period an dit was during a trip to Belgium in 1990 that he fell hard for the acid house and techno music.
Born in marseille he started mixing in 1993 and composing in 1996. From then on a true musical complicity will start his long time friend Laurent and a few noteworthy releases with french labels such as Algorythm, Doug Dunner and Music First (96-98) using various pseudos took place.
In 1999 a release entitled « An electronic data processing » with Neuton Music will give birth to the duet of the same name. Other maxis were celebrated internationnally, notably by the prestigious english label « Mosaic » but also by Obsession Music, Tritone and Wicked Music (label of Jack de Marseilles).
In 2001 willing to keep his artistic independance the duet founded the label « Modelisme » which became rapidly the well best kept secret of Dj’s like Michael Mayer, Jennifer Cardini, Superpitcher, Richie Hawtin, Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos not to mention others. That will naturally lead « Modelisme » to join Kompakt which take care of its worldwide distribution.
Since then two dozen maxis and a mixed CD have constituted Sebastien’s discography which shows his attachment to a kind of musical ecclectism all of which is reflected by « Modelisme ».
As a matter of fact some titles and maxis are played both by house, minimal, techno, progressive djs which enables the label to be acknowledged by each own style. It is certainly for Sebastien a way to break away from frontiers and share a taste, a state of mind and emotions rather than a precise style.
Considered as one the first djs to have blown minimal tones into his mixes, Sebastien Bromberger keeps on grooving on european and french dancefloors.
Skilled with a sexy personnal and easily recognizable touch, Sebastien exudes sets from House to Techno; his influences range from House in Detroit and Chicago but also from the Techno of Detroit to the minimal german scene not to mention a certain attraction to Deep and Dub sounds.
Gifted with all these sensitivities Sebastien loves to deliver through his sets atmospheres and moments in search of a complicity with the public to share his emotions.
