Sid LeRock (aka Pan/Tone, Gringo Grinder) is one of Canada’s leading electronic producers with 6 albums under his belt and well over 50 singles and climbing!. He remixed for Depeche Mode, Fairmont, Gui Boratto, Placebo and did collaborations with Dj Koze, Ada, Metope and Jake Fairley.

The new maxi release by our friend SID Le ROCK (aka PAN/TONE) rocks the shit. A-side DEVIL’S NIGHT piles the pressure on the dance floor in your peak time night shift for the club. It´s a serious 8+ minute smooth melodic-techno piece from the hands of the Franco-Canadian-Berlin Meister. The B-side opens up with a majestic SOUL CENTER remix of MADE FOR YOU (original version appeared on SID Le ROCK’s actual album TOUT VA BIEN, shitkatapult june 2010). THOMAS BRINKMANN re-arranges the original arrangement by adding a straight funkyness with filter warmth, bass drums, extra bass...all rolled up into his classic SOUL CENTER touch. The gentle HELLO GORGEOUS completes the GENTLEMEN’S INTERMISSION with it´s surprising smooth indie rock, melancholic and deep pop feeling.

TOUT VA PLUS on SHITKATAPULT assembles another 5 club tracks by SID LE ROCK (aka PAN/TONE) from his TOUT VA BIEN album work. THE AFTERMATH opens up this chapter like a techno rocket and proofs one more time the outstanding abilities of the Berlin-Canadian producer to combine rock´n´roll, strobs and saw signs.
This release is kind of a cliffhanger that can be heard as an echo of "TOUT VA BIEN" and as the opening chapter for the next SID LE ROCK release will be out as 12" in march 2011: GENTLEMEN'S INTERMISSION EP.

Franco-Canadian artist Sheldon Thompson will release his third album as Sid LeRock later this month, via Berlin-based imprint Shitkatapult.
Entitled Tout Va Bien, the new record will be the first Sid LeRock album since 2006. In the meantime, Thompson has been producing mainly under his Pan/Tone alias, putting out records on Beachcoma, Cereal/Killers and Kompakt Extra. Tout Va Bien shows him picking up right where he left off, with 11 new cuts of his signature rock-infused electro, complete with live instruments and disaffected vocals. It will be available digitally and on CD, and is scheduled to hit stores before the end of the month.

Never a DJ, Sid LeRock aka Pan/Tone has performed live for many years and developed his signature style of “Rockno”, which is the uncompromising hard edged techno with still a lot of warmth in the sounds and with influences that borrowed from post rock and minimalist styles. This dirty Canadian operates out of Cologne, Germany. Sid has released on labels like Secret Weapons, Blank, Onitor, Ladomat/Mute, Sub-Static, Shitkatapult and Sender to name a few.
