SKAIs musical career started anno 1994. 16 years later SKAI is considered as one of the most influential DJs either in the Rhein-Main-Area as well as in the international scene. Gigs in Ibiza, Zürich, Barcelona and Vancouver and of course his residency at the world famous institution for electronic music CocoonClub in Frankfurt and for the international brand ENVY MY MUSIC outline this image.
SKAI left his home land for an annual stay in Vancouver last year in May in order to gain ground in the Canada-based House-Scene. And his stay turned out to be as successful as his former work in Germany. Within next to no time the German-Chilean advanced into an institution in his temporary home and DJed in famous clubs like Celebrities, ginger62 or Gorg-O-Mish.
Nevertheless, SKAI already planned his career in Germany connecting to his stay in Canada. The intrinsic motivation, which brought him to face the challenge to get to know a new country and culture, lost ground to the extrinsic circumstances and finalised his mission in Canada and return to Frankfurt.
He released the single “Mir Geht’s Gut”, which was a heavy success and worked on releases with his long-time mate and DJ-Partner Amir under the alias Groove Rebels.
Furthermore, he sticks to his principles as a DJ and focuses on groovy, percussive and rhythmic tracks, which goes back to his Chilean roots. |
