Sona Sound, a house and techno production duo comprising of DJ’s Pete Batty and Jon Wafer (Waff), are going from strength to strength currently following a run of successful releases on underground German label Resopal Schallware and the London based imprint Phobic Records.

By fusing together elements of Deep House, House and Techno with their own raw, energetic and highly distinguishable sound, the duo continue to push forward and impress with their seamless and unique studio efforts.

Their EP’s, ‘Get On Down’, ‘In The Studio’ and ‘Nervous Breakdown’, have already garnered support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Dubfire, Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, Tiefschwarz and Magda to name but a few, and with more releases on both Minimar and Documenti Sonari, it’s fair to say success and recognition will continue to grow at a rapid pace for these two already well established DJ’s.

Collectively, Sona Sound have shared flyer space with the likes of Steve Lawler, Audiojack, D’Julz, Bearweasal, Hector, Anthea and Justin Robertson, besides the many others they have played alongside both in the UK, across Europe and their numerous gigs in Ibiza over the last few years.

And with an endless array of DJ, production and promotional experience between them which has seen both Pete and Waff individually run successful Northern nights Our House and Koala, the boys continue to push boundaries in their native East Yorkshire, believing that underground names and up and coming talent are the way forward in a market over saturated with monotonous tech nights.

With a wealth of knowledge between them and an endless passion for their work, Sona Sound are currently to be found locked away in the studio surfacing only to add to their ever growing gig list and look forward to a year filled with progressing success, Grade A productions, and even more blinding sets. And with dates already on the agenda alongside Simon Baker, Hobo, Sebo K and Lemos, it looks like they are on course to achieve even greater notoriety in the coming months.
