Growing up surrounded by the legacy of his Fathers (a DJ himself) record collection, Stephen was heavily influenced by the soulful Motown and Disco wax that piled up around his parents home. This coupled with the boom in electronic music coming out of Detroit and Chicago in the 80’s and early mid 90’s began to sculpt Stephen’s tastes as his passion for percussive dance music grew. In his early teens he began to produce his own brand of techno under the pseudonym ‘Lumen’ and started to create a name for himself playing at various undergro..
