San Juan,Puerto Rico born & bred,Switch Audio,graduated from The Science,Arts & Television Institute with a degree in sound engineering,he’s not by any means your typical artist. Switch Audio is quietly going about attracting more & more attention to himself & his home city of San Juan.
It all started back in 98 when the first raves arrives to the island when it was only drum & bass & driven by the sounds of the basslines he decides to bought his first set of turntables.He spent 2 years playing in his house for his friends, when someday a friend ask him if he want to play in his birthday with some local top dj’s & he accepted. That was the beginning of a long journey that puts Switch Audio aka J Switch in the map of the dnb in the island making him one of the most respected dnb dj’s in the local scene. He climb to the top & starts opening & closing sets for such artist like Friction , Ed Rush & Optical , Mampi Swift etc…
The transition from dnb to minimal, techno happened working with two of the most succesfull bookings & event agencies in the island Hidden Agenda ( HA! ) & Forward Music ( FM! ) in charge of the hospitality with the international talents he starts knowing & meeting people like Marco Carola, Paco Ozuna, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice & Heidi & in 2008 he has a close encounter with the techno scene in the WMC in Miami, since then he start to getting more involve into this cool fresh sound that many people called minimal.
Knowing many people in the business he starts to getting gigs in weekly events gaining a residency in the exclusive Bacco Lounge, shortly he’s was playing in almost every major events in the island like the Puerto Rico Electronic Music Fest (PREMF).Few years later the deep house era takes over & that's when things starts getting interesting & he went straight for it!
2011 was a great year for Switch Audio,after his first deep house gig for a closing set for Deniz Kurtel things went beautifuly out of control, gaining the respect of the top local djs & the attention of the promoters. Since then his is opening & closing sets for such artist like, Art Department,Damian Lazarus,Butane,Bloody Mary,Camea,Dustin Zhan,Shonky,Thugfucker,Ambivalent,M.A.N.D.Y & many more…
As a dj he brings both house & techno together in a smooth but highly dynamic way,with deep chords for the soul,basslines for the heart,big kicks for the guys & sexy claps for the ladies
