Yo, I'm Tek Kontrol. I'm based in Leeds originating from Lincoln, UK. I've been involved with dance music since the year 2000, with a passion for producing & DJ'ing throughout. After taking time-out from music & UK life to travel the world in 2007 - my ears have been firmly set on a love of deep house, tech-house and techno, but also believe that there aren't really any boundaries between styles these days.

Both a Producer and DJ, my sound focuses on the techier side of tech-house in the main, with artists such as Luciano and Mathias Tanzmann my faves, but Johnny D, Seuil, Sasche Dive, Mendo, Robert Dietz & Reboot are also big influences. I love a good summer-style or floaty riff too, along with brass & jazz sounds. I like to engineer all my own tracks, and as such am self-taught over many years, just using a friend's mastering service to polish them off - except collaborations of course!

Achievements So Far:

* Remix for Yoruba Grooves' first release - Downtown, YG001 - out on July 26th @ Beatport.
* First release, released January 2010, on Clubbed Up Recordings - Cure005.
* Played the Clubbed Up Room for Ultra+ in Birmingham June 2008 - the same night that the awesome M.A.N.D.Y. were headlining.
* Played in the Carbon Lounge of the world-famous Air Nightclub, Birmingham - home of Godskitchen - again for Clubbed Up - July 2008 (see profile pic).
* Previous gigs in Lincoln, Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester & Nottingham
