When you ask DJ/Producer Scotty Brandon why he chose the moniker he explains, “It is what you put between yourself and something hard or uncomfortable to make it more appealing. That’s what I try to do with music. To take ideas that you may not have heard before, that may be foreign to the audience, and make it comfortable and fun for the dancefloor. I try to soften the barriers”
Reared in the 90’s in the footsteps of legends in Detroit & Ann Arbor Michigan, Scotty Brandon’s home base is now Chicago where he follows in the footsteps of more legends. Never having cared much for the concepts of genres and classification, he blurs the lines of Techno & House in the same ways the boundaries were crossed before there were descripto..
