Playing Friday 9th September as part of a killer line-up and only a fiver in!
Scottish born producer, Drums of Death, will be bringing his unique mix of house and techno with a punk rock twist to The Energy Sessions hosted by Mixmag, at The Garage, sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink on September 9th 2011.

Real name Colin Bailey, Drums of Death has been making his presence felt over the last couple of years, remixing the likes of Tricky and Franz Ferdinand, as well as producing Peaches’ 2009 album I Feel Cream, and releasing his own debut long player, Generation Hexed . Known for his energetic live shows, Bailey is the new dark prince of electro, and he knows to throw a party!

Also added to the bill is one of the godfathers of UK garage, MJ Cole, who will be bringing the noise on the big night. One of the biggest names in 2-step, Cole has broken out of the scene to become one of the best loved producers of bass music in the UK. With a new album set to drop later this year, this is a great opportunity to see one of the legends of UK music

Coming in from the leftfield, The 2 Bears bring their tough, soulful house with a twinkle in its eye and a wiggle in its rear end. Comprised of Joe Goddard (of indie/electro hit makers Hot Chip) and Raf Rundell (DJ and broadcaster) the Bears bring the energy and hilarity of their “Follow the Bears” radio show (Ministry of Sound Radio) to the Garage to put some fun into your night.

The Japanese Popstars (Live) will also be bringing their energetic live show to the Mixmag night. The Northern Irish electro trio are among the most exciting live acts on the scene right now and have won best live act awards from Hot Press magazine. The bands sleazy beats and epic synth lines mean that they are not to be missed.

Equally inspired by contemporary house/techno and the classic Italo disco of the seventies and eighties, Retro/Grade have created a unique sound that is gaining a lot of attention in all areas of the scene. With the release of big anthems like “Mindfighter” and “Reset” these guys are one name to look out for
The night will also include a separate DJ room featuring the cream of UK dance talent, including The Sonic Emporium (Wax:On), No Artificial Colours, Cake DJs and Mixmag Allstars.

This event is the third of four nights taking place at The Garage sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink, each one to be curated by a respected music magazine from all different genres of music. It promises to be a big night with the beats flying and the Relentless Energy Drink flowing.

Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances Toddla T (& Shola Ama and Serocee) will no longer be appearing at Mixmag Presents The Energy Sessions Sponsored By Relentless Energy Drink. Toddla wishes to express his apologies for any disappointment this may cause.

• Doors open at 9pm
• The Energy Sessions tickets are only £5
• Tickets available from www.thegarage.co.uk
