TIMOS was born november 26t in 1984 in Frankfurt Main Germany. In the year 2000, at the age of 15, he discovered his love for house and techno music and started to buy vinyl records. 2003, at the age of 18, Timo Schaefer started producing. Three years later Anthony Rother employed him as labelmanager for datapunk, where he has worked for 2 years. In 2008, he decided to start his own music label SONIDO RECORDS. In the same year, intergroove distribution hired TIMOS to work for its label- and manufacturing department.

The first release on SONIDO RECORDS was also his first release ever. TIMOS - Vendor included 2 remixes by Reboot and Alexi Delano and was played by well known djs like Steve Bug, Onur Özer, Tobi Neumann, Mathias Kaden, Wighnomy Brothers, Markus Fix, Robert Dietz, Seph and Nick Curly. SONIDO RECORDS built itself a great roster of releases, artists and remixers like Meat, Jacuzzi Boys, Jamy Wing, Vera, M.in & David Keno. 8 releases were published since the beginning. 2009, TIMOS started his DJ-career. His sets are a mixture of funky house and techno, influenced by the early house movements in the 90’s and the so called frankfurt house / techhouse style. Since one year as a DJ, TIMOS already played in clubs all over germany. like the famous CocoonClub, Monza and Kingkamehameha Beachclub in Frankfurt, the Bootshaus in Cologne and on festivals like SOS – Sonne, Mond und Sterne with DJs like Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Fatboy Slim, Chris Tietjen, Meat, Einzelkind and many more. In 2010, two releases followed on BigCityBeats Tec. and Sonido Records, which were charted and played by DJs like Reboot, Nick Curly, Onsulade and many more. Since 2010 he got a residency at the world famous Cocoon Club with the monthly Labelnight "Bar Sonido" in the lounge room of the club.
